Shakira and Gerard Pique have confirmed that they have a child

Singer Shakira and her boyfriend, Spanish footballer of FC Barcelona, Gerard Pique, confirmed Wednesday on their Twitter and Facebook pages, they will have a baby.
"As some of you know, me and Gerard are very happy because we expect our first child," noted Shakira in a statement in English, post Pique played the official websites of the social networks.

"We decided to give priority to this unique moment in our lives and to postpone all promotional activities were scheduled in the next period," said singer aged 35 years.

   Colombian artist of Lebanese origin broke up in January 2011 by Antonio de la Rua, son of former Argentine president Fernando de la Rua, after a relationship that lasted 11 years, and in March 2011 confirmed that having an affair with Gerard Pique.

Shakira thanked fans for "affection and understanding," adding that needs to cancel a trip to Las Vegas, Heart Radio music festival.
