CONFLICT China - Japan: Fourteen Chinese ships are now near Senkaku Islands



Fourteen Chinese government vessels are now near the Senkaku Japanese archipelago, claimed by China as the Diaoyu, the Japanese coast guard said.

The 11 ships arrived Tuesday Wednesday were joined three other ships. This flotilla supervised îndeaproapre the Japanese coast guard boats, sailing further to limit the area which Tokyo considers as part of its territorial waters around this group of islands in the East China Sea.

Tension remains high so around the archipelago. According to Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun, Japanese Coast Guard would be sent to the area about 50 ships, but a spokesman refused to confirm this body of information, citing "security reasons".

Wednesday, Chinese authorities decided to calm intensity of demonstrations, especially in Beijing.

According to Japanese media, the police in the capital sent messages on mobile phones to deter protesters' protest activities have reached a certain point. Do not have to come to the embassy to manifest "Japanese says this message.
